An on-site commercial nursery helps support a multi-decade native reforestation project.The Residences Caretakers play a pivotal role in preparing the exterior of the residences and outdoor areas for guest and owner arrival, as well as providing support to the housekeeping and guest services team performing a range of varied tasks.We are currently seeking an assistant to work alongside our Residences Caretaker in a fixed term part-time capacity through to the end of March 2025.
The hours of work are 7.00 am to 3.30 pm three days per week and will include some occasional weekend work.
There will be some flexibility around the days per week, and these may change week to week depending on guest arrival and departure dates.While experience in a similar role is highly regarded, it is not essential.
We are also interested in hearing from individuals who can demonstrate reliability, a willingness and desire to learn, a strong dedication to teamwork, and who are flexible to perform a range of different tasks.
This position could, however, be adapted to accommodate someone with more experience.This is a rare opportunity for a candidate with the right work ethic who is motivated to deliver exceptional results to work alongside our very experienced caretaker of over 10 years and gain valuable experience within an award-winning, world-class hospitality environment.Some of the key tasks associated with this role include:Washing outdoor furniture, cleaning outdoor cushions and putting them away when not in use.Cleaning the exterior of residences including joinery, sliding door tracks, removing cobwebs and bird nests.Blowing and washing outdoor pavers and driveways before guest arrival and keeping these areas neat during their stay.Removal of rubbish and sorting recycling.Sterilizing and refilling sparkling and still water bottles and assisting with restocking beverage fridges.Erecting and dismantling outdoor umbrellas and canopies.Cleaning and re-laying fireplaces.Polishing stainless steel in outdoor dining areas.Cleaning of high windows.Applicants must be able to pass a Ministry of Justice police check and have their own reliable transport as the property is located 30 minutes from central Kerikeri.
