Job Description
We're seeking a proactive and motivated individual who goes the extra mile to ensure our guests have a memorable stay. As a good listener with strong attention to detail, your confidence and "can do" attitude will be essential for delivering a guest-centric approach, ensuring success in this fast-paced role.
Located in the heart of Wellington's central business district, looking after multiple Accor Properties & working closely with the Revenue Team, you will be responsible for processing hotel reservations to ensure that hotel revenue opportunities are maximised at every stage.
This is a full time role working Monday to Friday (possibility of Saturday shift), waged at $27.32 per hour.
Key Duties
Handle incoming reservation inquiries via phone, email, and online platforms.
Assist guests with booking accommodations, answering questions, and providing information about our hotel's amenities and services.
Process reservations accurately and efficiently using our reservation system.
Maximise room occupancy and revenue by upselling rooms and promoting additional services.
Coordinate with other hotel departments to ensure guest requests and preferences are accommodated.
Resolve any booking issues or concerns promptly and courteously.
Maintain accurate records of reservations and guest interactions.
Assist as and when required with the group reservations, bookings and enquiries.
Fulfil any other reasonable requests from your Supervisor or Hotel Management.
Qualifications
Previous Front Office or Reservations experience is essential.
Prior use of Opera cloud & TARS Database or similar PMS is preferred.
Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a high level of service and attention to detail.
Proactive selling approach with excellent time management skills.
A great personality, innovation, and a "can do" attitude are crucial for success.
Reliability and commitment to the role long term.
You will have NZ residency or be holding a permanent NZ work visa (immigration visa support or sponsorship is not available with this role).
