Research Technician

Provide research support for research programmes in the field of dryland pastures.
Provide research support for externally funded research and contributes to the management and smooth undertaking of leading research programmes in the field of dryland pastures as required.
Based in the Department of Agricultural Sciences, and reporting into Professor Derrick Moot, some of the key tasks of the role will include:
Technical research support - contributing to research programmes, ensuring project milestones are met and within budget.
Ensuring records of works are maintained professionally and accurately.
This is a permanent role working 37.5 hours per week based at our Lincoln Campus. The salary range is set at $60,000 - $70,000 per annum.
To be successful in this role you will need:
A relevant tertiary qualification or experience.
Research support experience in managing sheep grazing experiments
Stock management experience - yard work, animal health and production measurements
Ability to supervise and instruct post grad students, field staff and coordinate workloads
Experience in establishing and conducting field trials, including data collection and preparation.
Data input and manipulation skills using a variety of software package
