In this role you will review and execute agreements, subcontracts and variations for standard research grants within one or more assigned portfolio areas. You will partner closely with Research Funding Advisers to plan to effectively manage contestable funding cycles and ensure a seamless transition from pre-award to post-award contracting. Research Grant & Contract Advisers are subject matter experts for the rules and templates for their assigned portfolio of funders and schemes and escalate complex matters within the Research Grants & Contracts Team when specialist technical advice is required. You will also work with the Research Contracts and Grants Administrators to complete all necessary post-award updates in the University's research management systems to enable activation of standard research grant by the Research Operations Centre.This is a full-time, 37.5 hours per week role on a permanent contract. The salary range for this role is $68,600 -$84,700 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.For more detailed information on the role accountabilities and requirements, please review this position description.Our suitable candidate will meet the requirements below:Tertiary qualification in relevant field.At least four years experience working in an advisory, contracts coordination or project coordination role in a large complex organisation – e.g., a public/government agency.Experience with crucial stakeholder relationship management and reporting on operational activities.Experience working with different systems, workflows and databases.Exceptional organisational and coordination skills.Proven computer skills in Microsoft suite, i.e. Excel (to intermediate level), Word, OutlookExperience working in a high-volume and deadline-driven position.Proven interpersonal and relationship-building skills.Proactive self-starter / able to work independently but equally comfortable in a team environment.Attention to detail and an ability to see the big picture.Positive and can-do attitude.Adapting and responding to change.Prioritisation and workload management.Financial acumen and the ability to critically review project budgets and payment schedules.The University of Auckland is New Zealand's leading University and maintains significant computational, laboratory, and analytic facilities.
