Your advisory role is very relational, and you will be high touch with our researchers, including staff and student researchers, which involves everything from one on one sessions to class presentations, ethics consultations and guideline/policy development. You will support the AUTEC committee through the provision of advisory input. You will be up to date in the health research ethics space, legislation and contemporary ethical issues. You will also work closely with the ethics representatives, our education specialist and other units across the University in the development of research support resources.Skills and ExperienceWe are looking for an experienced research ethics candidate, this could be from the tertiary education sector or the private sector, in another tertiary ethics role or ethics applications in private institutions.You will have5 years experience in research ethics preferably in a tertiary institutionExperience working in Health Ethics ResearchKnowledge and experience of research ethics involving human participantsA deep knowledge of the national and local environment of ethics in New ZealandExcellent written and verbal communication skillsThe skills to work effectively in a team environment where you share the workloadExcellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with a diverse range of peopleCultureHere at AUT we are more of a community and there is real purpose and meaning underpinning what we do.
