Waipapa Taumata Rau | The University of Auckland The Auckland Renal Cohort (ARC) Study is a large retrospective observational study of patients with chronic kidney disease in South Auckland between 2003 and 2023. The ARC Study has received full HDEC ethics and Health New Zealand localities approvals. Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity We are seeking a Research Assistant, on a casual basis, for the purposes of data deidentification of sensitive health data. Data deidentification will be performed in a secure University of Auckland server in R, Python, or SQL coding languages. Key tasks include: Conversion of hospital identifiers to unique ARC Study identifiers. Creation and encryption of ARC Study identifier-to-hospital identifier decryption log Removal of identifiable data from string data. This is a casual opportunity, for up to 20 hours over the course of one week. The hourly rate is $30 - $40 per hour, dependent on skills and experience. Future opportunities may also be available to the right candidate. The start date is flexible, but we are looking to start in June 2024. For more detailed information, please refer to the Position Description. He korero mou | About you To be successful in this role, you will have: Experience wrangling data within large datasets. Proficiency in R, Python, or SQL. Experience with data deidentification or experience as data manager is preferable. A formal qualification in data science, computer science, biostatistics, or statistics is preferable.
