Our Te Karere team is responsible for providing a Maori perspective on important local, national and international issues. The opportunity - Te turanga We are hiring for a Reporter - Te Karere that reports to the Executive Producer. In this high-profile role, you will responsible for reporting and setting up interviews and other production tasks as required for Te Karere and preparing and researching stories which are of high importance to iwi Maori and te ao Maori Your key focus in this role will be on: Establish and maintain familiarity with news, which is of Maori importance pertinent to a Maori speaking audience through newspapers, briefings, wire service, radio and or other sources. Deliver well-produced packages/stories in Maori on time and to a given duration. Generate story ideas/angles and fresh treatments. Clearly communicate story requirements to the crew and co-ordinate the activities of the crew.
