Higgins Napier are looking for a Renewals Manager to join the Maintenance Division.
We operate the Network Outcomes Contract (NOC) covering the maintenance of the State Highways in Hawkes Bay on behalf of Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency.
We maintain 480KM of network across the region.
A key element of the NOC is in ensuring that the renewals programme for all road rehabilitation, asphalt paving and chipseal surfacing works is carried out efficiently and within the scope of the contract provisions.
We are looking for a Renewals Manager (reporting into the NOC Contract Manager) to achieve this.
Day to day responsibilities: Working alongside Higgins and the Client's design teams in ensuring that the solutions are designed according to Contract specifications.
Supporting our operational delivery teams to ensure that the work is carried out according to the Contract requirements.
Ensuring adequate documentation and processes (specifically reporting) are in place.
Ensuring progress of projects is on track using appropriate technologies.
Identifying and overseeing risk management and quality processes and procedures.
Overseeing all variation works including identifying risks and opportunities.
What you'll bring to the role: 7+ years industry experience with strong maintenance experience.
A track record in road maintenance contracts including in-depth knowledge of pavement technologies and sealing techniques (chip sealing, asphalt etc).
Prior experience scoping, planning and programming renewals work.
Understanding of the technical, contractual and financial requirements involved in maintenance contracts.
Proficiency in RAMM is highly sought after.
Understanding of the Construction Contracts Act and knows how to apply NZS 3910 & NZS 3917.
Strong communication and ability to build and maintain relationships.
Bachelor of Engineering or other relevant Tertiary qualifications desired but not necessary.
Being adaptable, flexible and having the capacity to cope with multiple issues.
