About the role:
This role reports to the Transport Projects & Procurement Lead, focusing on providing professional engineering services to manage renewals projects for the Whangarei District. Based with the team in our newly built office in Whangarei CBD, the Renewals Lead is responsible for:
Contract initiation/preparation and administration of professional services contracts
Incorporation of standards into contracts
Review of pavement design elements
Review and approval of technical documents
Implementation of approved renewals works related to roading assets
Estimate, manage and monitor project expenditure
Managing external resources to aid in the successful delivery of the renewals program
Providing technical advice and oversight of the reseal program
About you:
We are looking for someone to join the team who brings their tertiary qualification in B Eng, Dip Eng, or equivalent and approximately 10 years post-graduate experience. Ideally, you will have experience in construction supervision and be confident with project and contract management.
In addition to your technical knowledge, you enjoy relating with others and forming relationships easily both internally and externally. You bring good attention to detail working with contracts and have highly developed documentation, report, and workflow process writing skills.
