What you'll be doing This is an exciting opportunity to join our team on a 12 month fixed-term agreement to cover Parental Leave. In this role you'll be at the technical epicentre of Meridian's development options for additional renewable generation capacity. You will be primarily tasked with providing optimised site layouts and energy yield assessments (wind and solar) for potential future sites using industry-leading software and data analysis techniques. You will interact with suppliers and help to monitor and maintain our quality resource observations (wind and solar).
What you'll bring 3+ years plus experience with large-scale wind project design and analysis.Superior skills in wind and solar analysis for development, construction, and operational assessments.Excellent written and oral communication skills. Confident to attend/lead meetings when needed.Extensive understanding of wind farm site optimisation, energy assessment, load analysis, noise, and shadow flicker.Excellent knowledge of and experience with wind turbine design and technology. Solar experience is also desirable.Knowledge of Wind Farm (and ideally solar) operational and maintenance requirements.Knowledge of and experience with resource sensing equipment such as met masts, LIDAR, SODAR, and/or solar resource measurement.A high level of expertise in WindPro. Ideally experience with Meteodyn (CFD), Matlab, and/or solar design software (PVsyst PVDesign).Why Meridian? At Meridian, we value all people.
