About the Role We are seeking a skilled Co-ordinator to provide cover for planned leave and to assist our busy Booking team. This role requires a high level of confidentiality as you will be required to deal with sensitive information.
About the Team/Service/Location The booking team plays an essential role in coordinating the Outpatient and Surgical bookings across Hastings Hospital. You will need to be an effective communicator, have excellent administrative, organisational and time management skills, and the ability to work under pressure.
Naturally, you will be able to recognise the needs, aims and aspirations of whanau from all culturally diverse groups within our community and share in our values of He kauanuanu – Respect, Akina – Improvement, Raranga te tira – Teamwork and Tauwhiro – Care.
About You We are ideally looking for someone with experience in a busy role, and it is essential that you have the following skills:
Competent in using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook & PowerPoint) and related functions and generally be computer savvy with the ability to learn other software packages used.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people - internally and externally.Ability to work well under pressure.Multi-tasking & organisational abilities.Self-motivated, with the ability to prioritise your own workload, as well as work as part of the team.Competency with te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth.Experience in projects/initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principles and frameworks, and the application of Matauranga Maori and Kaupapa Maori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.It would be an advantage if you have previous experience working in the health sector.
