About the opportunity
Established in 1985, Collingwood Street in Eltham is home to the largest consumer and foodservice manufacturing plant in the Asia/Pacific region. Our Slice on Slice plant produces enough cheese for 3 billion cheese burgers each year!

At Fonterra we view reliability engineering as a critical function allowing us to achieve global best practice. With a focus on continuous improvement by preventing, controlling and eliminating breakdown of our assets across the site, this role will continue to enhance the site's capability and performance. You will have a direct impact by working with key stakeholders to identifying and actioning improvements in order to sustainably reduce operational spend, increase production efficiency, reliability and improve production output.

Reporting to our Site Services Manager, you will be responsible for:
Managing and analysing reliability engineering data, root-cause analysis, guide problem solving, detect trends and anomalies
Auditing and improving site equipment care program to deliver the specified plant reliability and maintainability requirements
Stakeholder management and leading technical decision making with key stakeholders to develop optimal equipment care strategies to ensure equipment and system reliability & plant optimisation goals are met
Participating in a variety of site-wide targeted improvement projects.

About you
With proven experience in root cause analysis and planning, you'll have a strong drive for continuous improvement and expertise applying reliability engineering principles in a manufacturing environment.

This is a complex role that will see you liaise across a range of stakeholders, so you'll need to have great communication and relationship management skills, along with the ability to influence.

We want to hear from you if you have:
Trade certified or Tertiary Qualification in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical)
Proven experience in reliability-centred maintenance and engineering principles including failure mode and effect analysis (FMEA)
Excellent problem solving and analytical skills to find the root cause of equipment, system, or procedure failures
Tech savvy computer skills, ideally with SAP experience
