The Major Commercial team is a specialist team set up specifically to manage many of ASB's largest Commercial Businesses who have complex banking requirements.
They are passionate about working in partnerships with our clients to understand their business and deliver innovative 'out of the box' solutions.
This is ensured by providing a dedicated team of senior and experienced bankers to manage and grow this portfolio set.
Reporting to the Head of Major Commercial, your role will support and grow a high-valued and varied portfolio.
You will also have the ability to drive strong customer engagement and retention through your thorough understanding of customer needs and the development of solutions.
Equally important will be your focus on maintaining the profitability of a complex and growing portfolio, whilst upholding strong risk and control standards.
You will have one direct report of an Account Manager, and be confident in your proven ability to drive growth across the portfolio.
We're looking for someone who is self-motivated, relationship-focused and driven, who has the ability to communicate, and negotiate while building and maintaining key relationships with clients.
To be successful in this role, you will have a strong Commercial/Business banking background coupled with strong lending and credit management, account management, and analytical skills.
Your existing knowledge of the New Zealand business market will enable you to quickly contribute to the portfolio and add value to customers.
Your communication skills will be essential for effectively managing relationships with key internal stakeholders and external clients, which will go hand in hand with your strong customer focus.
Business or commercial banking experience and financial analysis skills are fundamental, and a relevant tertiary qualification is preferred yet it's not essential.
