You will be part of the Whatu Whanaungatanga Relationship Management team within council's Resilience and Infrastructure Directorate.
Working with teams that deliver waste minimisation, healthy waters and flood resilience, asset management and engineering services, community recovery and building consents, this position offers a unique opportunity for you to learn about the operational aspects of the directorate, while fine tuning your political acumen.
The focus of your role will be to support the Executive Officer and the Whatu Whanaungatanga team in delivering excellent outcomes for our three key areas of responsibility: LGOIMA responses, quality advice to local boards and elected member engagement.
On any given day your responsibilities will include:
coordinating relationships and communication to ensure elected representatives are well briefed and receive timely and high-quality information for decision-makingfacilitating the delivery of regular reporting to local boards and subject matter expertsHe korero mou: About you We are looking for an enthusiastic and organised team player with good interpersonal skills and a strong customer service mindset. You are known for taking initiative, being resourceful and seeing things through to completion. A tertiary qualification or demonstrated experience in a relevant field and a full driver's license are essential.
