Our Organisation Te Pae Hauora o Ruahine o Tararua MidCentral (MidCentral) is part of Te Whatu Ora, Health New Zealand and provides healthcare services to over 180,000 people across the Manawatu, Horowhenua and Tararua regions. With a large hospital campus in Palmerston North, it also provides key health care and support services to neighbouring communities.
The Opportunity Te Pae Hauora 0 Ruahine o Tararua |MidCentral is seeking an experienced allied health professional to become our Rehabilitation Coordinator. This is an exciting and new role specifically to support the journey of those presenting with disability impairments aged from 16 to 64 years. Other aspects of the role will be to support the flow of rehabilitation patients above 16 years across the system, working with agencies to help navigate the best outcome available.
We are seeking an experienced allied health professional with broad clinical and leadership rehabilitation experience, able to work at and advanced level to develop and deliver this service to our community. This role focus is to support and facilitate the delivery of high quality, research-based rehabilitation from an inpatient stay into the community and homes of our consumers.
The successful applicant will require strong and effective leadership and excellent communication skills and have a high level of clinical knowledge and expertise relating to the provision of rehabilitation. This is an advanced role and hours of work will be full time 40 hours a week.
