Job Description About UsAt Evolve Rehabilitation, we guide and support our clients through their rehabilitation journey, in a safe and structured environment. Through short, medium, or long-term residential support we support our clients to regain independence and re-learn daily activities. About the roleReporting to the Residential Team Leader, you will be responsible for carrying out client's rehabilitation plans. You will empower clients to complete daily tasks, with oversight, direct assistance or prompting as required. You will report on the client's progress and support them to participate in various activities assisting our clients with personal care and help them to progress along with their rehab journey towards their goals and towards independence after traumatic brain injury or stroke. You will also be responsible for contributing to the smooth and effective day to day running of the residential facility.This is a fantastic opportunity to work in an extremely rewarding rehab setting with our clients. Comprehensive training provided. This is a permanent position for 64 hours per fortnight and is located at Evolve Rehabilitation, Gisborne. Desired Skills and Experience About youAs a Rehabilitation Assistant, you will have a polite and friendly manner with a key focus on providing a positive experience for our clients. You will also demonstrate and have the following skills and experiences: Ideally hold a NZQA qualification, or studying toward a certificate in Health & Wellbeing Preferably hold a current first aid certificate Good command of the English language both in written and oral communication Hold a clean and current full driver's license Ability to make independent decisions and work effectively alongside others Demonstrate excellent self-management and time management Have a "can do" attitude and works well in a team The ability to cover rostered and rotating shifts (am, pm, nights - including weekends) Leading through our valuesWe are a values-driven organisation.
