Regulatory Support Services Officer Ko wai matou - Who are we

Te aheinga - The opportunity
We are currently seeking two detail-oriented and proactive individuals to join our team - one on a full-time (40 hours) 12 month fixed-term basis and one on a part-time (three days per week) 12 month fixed-term basis as a Regulatory Service Support Officer. In this role, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to the regulatory services department, assisting in the processing of permits, licenses, and regulatory documentation, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
Tino takohanga - Key responsibilities:
Day to day regulatory support for Regulatory Service Teams
Provide effective and efficient application lodgement
Provide minor application processing services
Ensure that all applications include all relevant information to guarantee the applications are processed effectively and in a timely manner
Receive applications and ensure they are assessed on adequacy for acceptance; then accepted or rejected in a timely and customer-centric manner
Actively ensure that good employer obligations and legislative requirements are fulfilled, particularly in relation to all key relevant legislation
Nga tino pukenga me nga wheako - Essential skills and experience:
A tertiary qualification is preferred
Experience working in a customer or administrative role is preferred
Experience working in a regulatory environment or the building industry
Knowledge of relevant Regulatory Services Acts and other relevant legislation

You can expect to start in these fixed-term roles with us between $59,542 and $62,130 (pro-rata).
