Regulatory Lead - Christchurch - Orion

We are seeking a highly skilled Regulatory Lead to develop and deliver Orion's regulatory strategy, driving excellent economic regulatory outcomes for our customers.You will be our advocate in economic regulation, providing regulatory expertise and advice across the business on current and potential regulatory direction and risks.About UsOrion is a community-owned company that powers the future, connecting communities, and igniting innovation.

Our purpose-driven work makes a difference in our neighbourhoods.The RoleProvide economic regulatory expertise and advice to Orion, assessing the impact on the business and decision making.Represent Orion in sector collaboration and engagement on regulatory matters with a knowledgeable voice.Understand economic regulatory landscapes and factors to ensure regulatory risk understanding and response.Write and produce written submissions to the Commerce Commission through collaboration across the business.Communicate information disclosure requirements and lead regulatory change implementation.About YouDepth of experience in a similar role, preferably in the electricity or telecommunications sector, with a relevant tertiary degree in economics or law.Excellent collaboration and communication skills.Previous experience in change management or project management is desirable.Strong understanding of the New Zealand regulatory environment, especially in the electricity industry.Build strong relationships and hold a place at the table with industry leaders and stakeholders.Translate complex information into various audiences using appropriate language.Strong sense of responsibility and accountability, engendering responsibility in others.Innovative approach and big picture focus.What We OfferWe offer flexible working arrangements, 'My Days' leave, wellbeing allowance, and access to our holiday house in Hanmer.Are you a regulatory expert looking for a new challenge?
