Registrar in General Medicine | Hastings New ZealandOdyssey Recruitment Global Medical Recruitment – Hastings, North IslandFull time14 days ago, from Odyssey Recruitment Global Medical RecruitmentSeeking registrars in general medicine for full time positions with a premier general hospital on the east coast of New Zealand's North Island commencing February or August 2025.Position Highlights6-12 month contracts40 hour week plus on call dutiesFTE post in a large, secondary level, 400-bed accredited public facility providing acute and elective care for a region of over 176,000 people.Operates air retrieval serviceDepartment of Medicine has 9 ward-based teams with 20 Dual Trained Internal Medicine Physicians, 24 Registrars, 15 House Officers, and Trainee Intern support.Current runs include Cardiology, Respiratory, Endocrinology, General Medicine with Neurology and Older Peoples' Health, Renal, Acute Admitting, and outpatient-based Medical Oncology and Haematology.Accredited for basic RACP training.Junior Medical Registrar positions to support the transition from Senior House Officer to Medical Registrar.A formal mentoring programme is also being established to provide additional support and advice, especially regarding wellbeing and career advancement.RequirementsMedical degreePGY3 + experienceEligibility for general registration with the Medical Council of New ZealandBenefitsCompetitive salary in accordance with NZRDA or STONZ6% employer contribution to pension scheme6 weeks annual leave and 10 days study leave with $16,000 annual allowanceComprehensive relocation package and visa sponsorship for eligible candidatesReimbursement of medical practice expensesLocationHastings, Hawkes Bay is located on New Zealand's North Island East Coast, Hastings is the twin city of Napier and sits 18km inland.
