Position: Social Worker
The Role
We are looking for a Registered Social Worker to provide social work support and advocacy in Oamaru. In this role, you will work alongside our local multi-disciplinary team of 6 staff as well as connect with our wider Family Works team across the Otago region to provide effective, quality social work services to clients and the community.
Hours: This is a permanent, part-time position working 30 hours per week.
About You
A Registered Social Worker
Sound knowledge of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and understanding of working within a bi-cultural and multi-cultural framework
Excellent interpersonal and advocacy skills with the ability to work collaboratively
Understanding of the impact of social complexities and the ability to work within a generic community social work team
Able to work autonomously while being part of a wider multi-disciplinary team
Enthusiastic, committed, and possessing a good sense of humour
