Registered Nurses - Dialysis Services

Mo te tunga About the Role 0.9FTE (36 hours a week). Fixed Term from December 2024 to July 2025. The Dialysis Service provides care to patients across Canterbury and the West Coast through the acute inpatient unit and home-based haemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis programme. The service operates Monday to Saturday, 7:30am - 9:30pm, with rostered morning and afternoon shifts. After a period of training, there is an expectation that you will be part of the on-call roster which operates out of hours.

The service is located in Christchurch Hospital. Salary is based on the NZNO Nursing and Midwifery collective agreement.

Ko wai koe About You You will be responsible for working across the service providing acute and chronic haemodialysis, peritoneal and home haemodialysis training, and ongoing support to the patients on dialysis at home.

Nga pukenga me nga wheako - Skills and Experience You will be a confident practitioner with exceptional patient assessment skills. Enthusiastic, motivated, with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to engage a wide variety of people, is paramount in this role. Experience in hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis. You will have a passion for Dialysis. Experience isn't essential as we'll provide training, support and professional development opportunities.
