About the Role We are seeking experienced casual registered nurses who will embrace the challenge of rural nursing.
This role will be predominantly working in the Inpatient ward at Tokoroa Hospital.
In line with our workforce plan, we are developing skilled staff that can cover many areas within the team.
About the Team The inpatient unit has 17 beds caring for patients with diverse conditions, including palliation and post-surgical rehabilitation as well as general medicine.
It is supported by senior medical officers and senior nursing leadership.
Tokoroa Hospital also has a busy emergency department, a four-bed primary birthing unit, outpatients department serviced by visiting specialists, and community services.
GP practices and other health providers are co-located on the site.
Tokoroa Hospital is part of the Waikato District of Health New Zealand and is located centrally in the North Island of New Zealand.
About you NZ work visa & current Annual Practicing Certificate;Experience working as a Registered Nurse in New Zealand;2 years post-graduate experience;Competency with te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth;Experience in upholding Te Tiriti principles and frameworks, and the application of Matauranga Maori and Kaupapa Maori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.Working for Health New Zealand Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is 'the weaving of wellness'.
