Whare ki te Whare Kaiarahi Navigation service is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse who is passionate about improving the health and wellbeing of tangata whaiora (patients) who require continued care and support after discharge from Wellington Regional or Kenepuru Hospitals. The aim of this service is to assist tangata whaiora and their whanau to remain in their home, with their whanau, and in their community. The Nurse's role is to coordinate the right health and social services/agencies, at the right place and time, to ensure a positive outcome for tangata whaiora and their whanau.
The Hauora is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse with a minimum of three years' experience post-registration. You will be enthusiastic about reducing disparities for all whanau in our community and enjoy working in partnership with tangata whaiora and their whanau to provide positive outcomes. This role requires you to have a clean driver's licence and evidence of a current NZ Nursing Practicing Certificate.
The ideal candidate will have:
A current NZ Nursing Practice Certificate (Registered Nurse)
3+ years of experience in your field (post-registration)
An understanding of tikanga and kaupapa Maori
Understanding of Tiriti o Waitangi
Experience working with and building positive relationships between Maori and Pacific Communities.
