We are looking for a Registered Nurse who will enjoy working as part of our Older Persons Health Service in Ward B2. We currently have a 0.6FTE fixed term position available until August 2025 covering parental leave.

Your ability to work well under pressure within a multidisciplinary team alongside your excellent communication skills and flexibility to work rotating, rostered shifts is imperative to your success in these roles.
Professional development is supported and you will have opportunities to attend training. If you are a motivated and enthusiastic Registered Nurse, with at least one year of post graduate medical or surgical experience we would love to hear from you.

Registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand, with current APC
Be a confident practitioner with good patient assessment skills
Possess excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage a wide variety of people
Knowledge of and a commitment to Te Tiriti O Waitangi

Burwood Hospital is a close-knit, friendly facility that forms part of Te Whatu Ora - Waitaha (Canterbury) situated near Burwood Forest on the outskirts of Christchurch Central. Along with 11 inpatient wards, we also have a busy Out Patient Department; 4 theatres with an Admitting Unit and PACU. Our Spinal Unit is one of two located in New Zealand and between the two busy units deliver a National Service.
