Registered Nurse - Ward A5 Elective SurgeryMo te tunga | About the role 0.8FTE (32 hours a week), Permanent roleWard A5 is a busy general surgical unit with a focus on elective surgery including colorectal, hepatobiliary, and bariatric surgery. No two days are the same in this fast-paced team that focuses on peri-operative care and recovery. Ward A5 is also a Dedicated Education Unit where you'll enjoy being involved in the development of student nurses.
The service is rostered on a rotating roster Monday to Sunday across Morning, Afternoons, and Nights.
This role is located in Waipapa Hospital in Christchurch. Salary is based on the NZNO Nursing and Midwifery collective agreement.

Working in our large multidisciplinary team, you can expect to work closely with and learn from our Surgeons, Nurse Educator, and Clinical Nurse Specialist, who are focused on advances in surgical care that improve clinical outcomes. In turn, you will bring your exceptional interpersonal skills and organizational skills and will be a real team player.
You will have effective problem-solving and decision-making skills and a commitment to providing and maintaining high standards of nursing practice within our service.
