Registered Nurse (Ward 51) Comprehensive Stroke Ward at Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand Te Toka Tumai Auckland, AucklandAre you an experienced Registered Nurse seeking to specialize and develop diverse clinical and leadership skills? If your answer is YES, then look no further and join our Ward 51 Stroke Team!Permanent Full-time position (1 FTE). Able to do rostered shifts – Monday to Sunday. Opportunity to do 12-hour shifts!We are Te Whatu Ora Te Toka Tumai Auckland. We provide health and disability services to more than half a million people living in central Auckland, regional services for Northland and greater Auckland, and specialist national services for the whole of New Zealand.

Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity Ward 51 is a new, state-of-the-art, world-class, integrated ward which will enable better health outcomes for our patients and whanau. It will provide care to Acute Stroke, Neurology, Stroke Rehabilitation, and under 65-year-old rehabilitation patients.
The Stroke Service at Auckland DHB is a 24/7 Service, providing a regional after-hours service for PSI, thrombolysis and Stroke care to the wider Northern region. The Hyper-acute Stroke Unit is located within Ward 51, Adult Medical at Te Toka Tumai (Auckland City Hospital), providing cutting-edge acute intervention and therapy to stroke patients on their journey to recovery and rehabilitation.
Working in this role, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience in evidence-based care ensuring optimal outcomes for stroke survivors. We have a strong research focus in both acute care and rehabilitation with links to the University of Auckland while supporting Te Toka Tumai.
Minimum Requirements: Ideally, you will have at least 2 years acute experience and a passion to deliver high quality safe patient-centered and evidence-based care.Experience in Neurology, specifically working in a Stroke Ward is advantageous, as are Emergency and Intensive Care Nursing experience.Please submit your application online, outlining your experience and motivation to apply to this role.
