Registered Nurse - Waihi/Whangamata/Paeroa (4 days a week)
There is something special about this stretch of the world. The babies in our area (Waihi, Paeroa, and Whangamata) deserve someone who is truly passionate about the difference that a great nurse can make. So if you love working with whanau and are committed to making a difference, join us in 2025! This is a 4-day-a-week permanent position.
Working across the area, you will meet with an eclectic range of whanau. We're looking for a confident clinician, as you will be the only nurse in the area; however, you'll have a wider team who are always just a call away.
Our Nurses perform top-to-toe development and growth assessments and provide clinical advice in homes and clinics with the aim of empowering whanau to succeed and prosper in their journey raising tamariki. When you live in a healthy and safe environment, parenting is much easier; to facilitate this, at times we need to provide social support and work with other agencies, specialists, and community groups.
Pay rates for our Registered Nurses are between $62,911 ($31.84 per hour) and $90,099 ($45.60 per hour) depending on experience.
This role is likely to be more suited to an established nurse; however, if you have recently graduated and have the life experience and confidence to work on your own, please apply.
You will be confident in your ability to build trusting relationships with people from all walks of life. Your adaptability and active listening skills will support your ability to ensure you are matching whanau with the right kind of culturally safe support.
Above all else, we place whanau at the centre of what we do and how we make decisions, and you will share this value.
To be successful in this role you will:
Be a Registered Nurse
Hold or be able to obtain an Annual Practicing Certificate
Hold a full or restricted clean NZ Drivers Licence
Be committed to completing Post Graduate Certificate in Well Child Tamariki ora (we will pay for this)
Work close to home in a community-based role
A predominately Monday – Friday role, with some Saturday events
'Well Health Day': the ability to use sick leave for a proactive planned health day
Career pathways for leaders, educators, and head office positions
In line with our ongoing goal to support our kaimahi to thrive in culturally safe environments, we have multiple communities of interest for kaimahi Maori, Pasifika, Asian, and more.
To support your growth in practice, we have dedicated space and time where our Kaimahi Maori gather quarterly by region and nationally once a year.
For further information please contact Jenna Sneddon, Clinical Leader at ******
Applications close: 12 January 2025
Please note, we will process applications as they are received. If we find a successful candidate, we may close this advert early.
