Korero mo te turanga - About the role 0.8 FTE Permanent We are seeking an enthusiastic Registered Nurse to join our Inpatient Mental Health Team at Taranaki Base Hospital.
Are you interested in working with adults experiencing psychological distress making a difference in their lives and future wellbeing?
Do you have a passion for mental health nursing and supporting clients through their recovery process?
Key aspects of this role are: Completing mental state assessments.
Therapeutic engagement to promote recovery.
Supporting medication and physical health management.
Our team culture is nurturing in nature, and we are supportive of active learning, both practically and academically.
We are passionate about improving health outcomes for people entering our unit.

Mou - About you Successful candidates must have: Well established mental state and risk assessment skills.
Experience using talking therapy techniques and proven de-escalation skills.
A valid Annual Practicing Certificate with Nursing Council of New Zealand.
Current full New Zealand Drivers licence.
