The Te Ara Waiora Clinic in Waipukurau is part of an exciting new health initiative that is whanau-centered and offers accessible health services for all. The service is supported by a mix of Nurses, Nurse Practitioner, Health Coaches, and Administration, who work closely with the health and social services at TToH and other local medical clinics and health and social service providers.
The role:
We want Nurses who have a genuine desire to work in Primary Care and provide proactive, effective healthcare, health education, and early health intervention and prevention of long-term health issues. The Clinics are designed to be outcomes and results focused.
Our Waipukurau team works from either our fixed location in Waipukurau or in the community providing mobile health services as needed. Suitable candidates will live locally and know the wider Central Hawkes Bay rural area and communities.
We are looking for full-time employees to work Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.00pm.
However, we are open to offering part-time opportunities for the right candidates.
Ideal applicants must:
Have a current practising certificate
Demonstrate experience in working with individuals and groups of whanau in an outcome-focused way
Be professional in all aspects of their mahi, from presentation to practice
Be able to maintain the highest standards of privacy and confidentiality
Hold a current New Zealand Full Driver's License
Understand Te Reo and tikanga Maori (and/or be willing to learn)
Be open to being flexible and agile adapting to whanau and their health needs
