We are looking for a Registered Nurse who is passionate about providing care for a young client at home, during appointments, and at school. The Registered Nurse will collaborate with a support worker to assist with the client's daily routine.Job Location: Kahutara, South Wairarapa DistrictEmployment Type: Fixed Term Part-time (16 hours per week), Thursday and Friday with the flexibility to cover for the other RN in cases of sickness or planned leave.About the role: As a community-based role, we are seeking individuals who will share our passion for supporting clients to remain in their homes and participate in the community.Full training is available.Job Responsibilities:Assisting with washing, applying braces and splints, dressing, continence products, etc.Tracheostomy management including changing trache ties.Supporting with medication management, suctioning, and cough assist.Hoisting into a wheelchair and assisting with safe transfers into the van, bed, chair, etc.Management of airway and respiratory monitoring of portable ventilator.Checking suction bags and emergency bags and ensuring stocked.Driving to school and generally supporting him throughout the school day.Performing personal care with the help of the support worker and passive exercises.Supporting as needed with setup of iPAD, books, games, tidying room and checking supplies, and keeping him positively engaged.Competence in the field with the ability to learn different skills and gain a broad knowledge around medication management, enteral feeding, falls and pressure injury prevention, and wound care.Everyday work will entail being able to work holistically utilizing a person-centered approach and will have a strong knowledge of our health system.Candidate Pre-Requisites:A passion for helping people live their best lives in the community!Experience working in the community is an advantage, but not essential as full support is given.Current registration and NZNC practicing certificate.The ability to work autonomously with a strong solution-focused approach to challenges.High levels of attention to detail.Strong and positive communication skills.Ability to work in a complex and changing environment.Critical thinking.Must have the right to work legally in NZ.Full Drivers License.We offer:Competitive Pay Rates (Depending on years of practical experience the pay for clinical workers can range from $80,000 to $90,000 annually).Flexible hours.Training opportunities.Free EAP (Employer Assistance Programmer) Services.About us:Healthvision is a lead provider of Specialist Homecare, Community Nursing, and Rehabilitation services throughout New Zealand.
