Rodney Adult Community Mental Health Team is part of the wider Waitemata District and has recovery teams based on three different sites: Helensville, Warkworth, and Red Beach. The acute team and the assertive intervention team are based at the Red Beach site; however, they cover the whole region. We are also part of the wider district with the introduction of the Co Response Team, which is based at the North Shore police station.
This is an exciting opportunity for clinicians to work with police officers and Kaimanaaki to support those who present to police in an urgent capacity but would benefit from a more combined approach.
About the Role and About You
We are now recruiting for a Registered Nurse with significant mental health experience to join us on a permanent basis. This is a fast-paced work environment providing short-term, intensive, and responsive assessment and treatment to those people who are acutely unwell.
You will work closely with the Assertive Intervention team and have the opportunity to work in the newly developed Co Response Team based at North Shore police station.
Essentials:
Excellent communication skills are a must
High levels of energy and enthusiasm
NZ Registered Nurse (comp), with a Post Graduate Certificate in Mental Health
Experience in Mental Health as well as a current APC
