We may have the role for you! The Nurse Maude Hospice Palliative Care Service provides specialised care and support for patients who have a life limiting illness using a multidisciplinary approach. Care is centred on the needs of patients and their families/whanau and embraces the physical, social, emotional, and spiritual elements of wellbeing - tinana, whanau, hinengaro and wairua - and aims to enhance quality of life.
He momo/About you A Registered Nurse with at least 2 years post registration experience to work within the team at Nurse Maude Hospice inpatient unit. The Hospice has 11 beds and cares for patients of all ages with a wide range of illness and disease, providing complex symptom management and end of life care.
The successful applicant is required to have an excellent knowledge of palliative care and will be working alongside our multi-disciplinary team and our Primary Palliative Care Provider District Nurses and General Practitioners in the Community.
Key to this role is supporting patients to meet their goals by providing excellent Palliative Care in the community. The successful candidate will have excellent assessment skills and be able to review patients with complex needs alongside the ability to build networks and excellent relationships with key stakeholders. The role will be well supported by the Specialist Palliative Care team. A current driving licence is required.
