This 22-bed unit provides family-centred care for infants, children, and adolescents aged 0-15 years, specializing in General Medicine, Oncology, Palliative Care, and a range of surgical services, including Orthopaedics, ENT, Urology, and General Surgery.Additional opportunities include working in the Child Assessment Unit and Children's Day Stay Unit, enhancing the variety and scope of your paediatric nursing career. In this role, you will assess and deliver nursing care tailored to the medical, surgical, emotional, social, cultural, and whanau needs of each child.About the Team/Service/ LocationOur amazing team of skilled and motivated nurses collaborates to achieve quality health outcomes for tamariki, their whanau, and our community. You'll bring compassion, strong clinical skills, and a collaborative mindset to our dynamic team.Experience in paediatrics or a related area of nursing.Ability to deliver culturally sensitive, family-centred care.Competency with te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth.Experience in projects / initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principals and frameworks, and the application of Matauranga Maori and Kaupapa Maori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.Working for Health New ZealandHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is 'the weaving of wellness'.
