We are seeking Registered Nurses for an immediate start to join our innovative and social team based in our New Plymouth head office / clinic.
In this role you will be required but not limited to:
Perform individual pre-employment, annual and exit occupational health assessments and report outcomes relevant to the role, worker, and workplace to the company contact within the boundaries of patient confidentiality Maintain thorough individual worker (patient) notes following any contact Provide health counselling including facilitation of referrals and access to external healthcare services to workers as appropriate Perform alcohol and drug screening in accordance with relevant industry standards and client specific policies and procedures Deliver health promotion and education programmes that maintain and promote optimum worker health and safety As an Authorised Vaccinator, administer immunisations to adolescents and adults, including facilitating the collection and interpretation of serologies where appropriate Perform respirator fit testing and provide one on one worker education on correct respirator use and care Essential skills and qualities: Current APC as a Registered Nurse Proven ability as a fast and enthusiastic learner of new skills Proficient Microsoft Office and computer skills Excellent interpersonal communication skills Ability to work autonomously Must be able to work in a varied and, at times, fast paced environment A proactive, can-do attitude – someone who will take the initiative to assist the team Nothing is a problem – a glass half full, innovative, solution focused attitude Someone who will represent the values of our business through their integrity, discretion and professionalism Full training will be provided to the successful applicant, however the following are preferred (but not essential) skills and experience:
Experience in audiometry and spirometry MOH authorised independent vaccinator US 25511 and 25458 for urine drug screening You will also be subject to Police Vetting and you must be able to pass a drug test.
We have more than one 30-40 hour per week full-time positions available. Although typically work is performed during business hours, preference will be given to those candidates that have flexibility with start and finishing times to accommodate our client's needs.
Remuneration to be negotiated based on prior experience.
