Established in 1995, our client provides quality health, social and education services for all who reside within the rohe of Tuwharetoa Ki Kawerau and Eastern Bay of Plenty.He aha te tunga | About the roleWorking across all areas of nursing services provided by Te Whare Haumau Nurse-led clinic, the Registered Nurse (RN) supports and delivers clinic services alongside the rest of the team.Key responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:Nurse triageChildhood immunisationsWell Child ChecksBefore School ChecksSexual health and contraceptionSmoking cessationCervical ScreeningRheumatic Fever prevention and healthy skinsService co-ordinationHealth care promotion and educationApplication of kaupapa Maori interventions within a clinical settingReportingNga pukenga me whai | The ideal candidate requirements:Registered Nurse with current practicing certificateCurrent First Aid CertificatePrevious nursing experience within a community settingKnowledge of tikanga/kawa as a minimum along with the ability to successfully work within Maori organisationsClean full NZ Drivers LicenceHave a passion for working with the Kawerau community and surrounding areasStrong relationship and network management, able to develop working relationships with whanau, internal and external stakeholdersExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsWorking knowledge of MedtechExcellent computer literacy skills, with proficiency in all Microsoft Office functionsExcellent organisational and time management skillsHigh attention to detailA commitment to safe work practicesEmpathy, showing respect for clients and their whanauKnowledge and awareness of tikanga Maori culture and history, and an understanding of Te Reo Maori is requiredThe successful candidate will also hold or be working towards:Well Child Tamariki Ora QualificationAuthorised VaccinatorSexual Health CertificateCervical Screening CertificateYou will be professional, trustworthy, confidential, self-motivated and remain calm in times of stress.
