Mo tenei turanga mahi | The role
Sunday and Monday from 7am - 3.30pm, based in a beautiful homestead in Christchurch. Our ideal candidate will have previous experience in Mental Health and must have a solid understanding of the NZ mental health sector. In addition, you will hold a New Zealand nursing registration and have the right to work in New Zealand. We'll also have an additional vacancy available in January 2025 so keep an eye on our jobs board.
Our roles sit under pay equity and are based on years of experience. Earn between $30.40 - $43.54.
We have an opportunity for a Registered Nurse with mental health or comprehensive scope of practice to join our Peer Acute Alternative Service based in a beautiful Christchurch. Our service is an alternative to hospital admission and is supported by a total of 24 staff members across the various shift patterns.
Responsibilities include:
Support people to identify and meet their individual health and social care needs through exceptional clinical support
Ongoing risk assessments
Develop clinically appropriate goal plans in partnership with tangata whai ora
Liaise with other services as required
Focusing on the individuals needs and providing culturally safe practice
Mou | About You
A current NZ Nursing registration
Comprehensive and/or psychiatric scope, and the ability to work within the field of mental health
Mental health experience and a solid understanding of the NZ mental health sector
A current full New Zealand driver's license
A current New Zealand first aid certificate or be prepared to obtain one
Knowledge of the NGO sector, and the Christchurch Health and Social Services systems
A demonstrated ability and cultural competence in working with Maori, and understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi
Candidates must have the right to work in New Zealand with a registration that is recognised in New Zealand.
