Maternal Mental Health Registered Nurse - Child, Youth and Family Mental Health Services - Te Whatu Ora Waitemata
Permanent, full-time position (1 FTE) Monday to Friday Based at 124A Shakespeare Road About the Role The Maternal Mental Health Service provides a comprehensive specialist multi-disciplinary mental health service to pregnant and post-partum women who experience moderate to severe mental health-related issues during this period.
Our community-based service has a well-developed continuum of care, offering a range of treatment options that include home visits, a purpose-built mother and baby respite unit, plus access to a regional mother and baby inpatient unit should the need arise.
About You We are seeking an experienced registered nurse with a good understanding of adult mental health needs who has an interest in the complexity of the perinatal period including the mother-baby relationship.
Good assessment skills and engagement skills are a key requirement. You will have excellent communication skills for consultation, networking, and liaison and will perform well under pressure.
