The Opportunity We are currently seeking Registered Nurses for our 37-bed ward – Kea.
Working in the Kea Inpatient Ward, reporting to the Charge Nurse, the Registered Nurse is responsible for providing pre and post-operative care for both adults and paediatric patients.
You will receive a comprehensive orientation and induction, and ongoing professional development with access to peri-operative education.
To be successful in this role:
You will have prior experience in ward surgical nursing and ideally in a private hospital environment. Surgical specialties include, Orthopaedics, Spinal, ENT, Paediatrics, Plastics, Breast surgery and Maxillofacial; You must have a current New Zealand Nursing Registration (APC); Ideally you will have at least 3 years NZ surgical experience; You will understand that the key to success lies in our team operating in collaboration with one another and you will have the ability and disposition to enhance cooperation and teamwork; You will have excellent assessment skills, and an organised and methodical approach; You will be enthusiastic and focused on patient experience; with a patient-centric approach, you will take time to demonstrate the highest level of attention and care; You will be known for your clear and professional communication skills and your ability to remain calm and collected in a dynamic work environment; You will have flexibility to work rostered and rotating shifts including weekends and nights.
