About the roleDeliver long-term life support services to critically ill patients.Case load is both ICU and HDU patients.Provide a tertiary referral service for other medical providers throughout Otago and Southland.Assist the Aeromedical Retrieval Service to transport patients to other hospitals.Fully refurbished ICU unit.Patients will be able to transition between levels of care without leaving the unit.Brand-new equipment, and with the patient-focussed design you'll be thrilled at the quality of care you can provide.Te Whatu Ora - Southern has the largest geographical coverage of all the New Zealand regions, providing services to 350,000 people in diverse communities. About youMust have previous experience in ICU/HDU.Adaptive, hardworking nurse who is empathetic.Can quickly build a rapport with patients and their families.Treat everyone with kindness and respect, bring a positive attitude, and value openness and honesty.Competency with te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth.Experience in projects/initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principles and frameworks, and the application of Matauranga Maori and Kaupapa Maori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.You will be welcomed into a team with a fantastic workplace culture and have the opportunity for working a family-friendly and life-friendly roster, so you will have time for all the other things that matter to you!

Salary rangeThis role is covered by the terms and conditions of the NZNO CEA and the salary will be in accordance with the RN Pay Scale, between $75,773 and $106,739 p.a dependant on relevant experience.
