Service: Intensive Care Unit
Contract: 12 hours shifts (rostered and rotating) Permanent full time and Permanent part time (minimum 0.8 FTE)
Salary: NZNO Meca $86,519 - $106,370 (depending on experience) pro rata for part time
We are looking for innovative, committed, forward-thinking registered nurses to join the team in Intensive Care Services, Wellington Hospital. Our service encompasses all specialties including cardio-thoracic, neurosurgery, and paediatrics. The staff nurse role will be for a permanent or fixed-term position covering 12-hour rostered and rotating shifts and will either be full-time or part-time (minimum 0.8 FTE, 32 hours per week). The successful applicants will commence between February 2025 and July 2025.
We have a strong commitment to nursing education and excellence in patient care. There are many opportunities to further your education and be part of a committed and innovative team. The Service offers support on the Professional Development Recognition Programme and progress towards a Master's degree. There is also the opportunity to train as a flight nurse within the busiest flight retrieval service in New Zealand.
A background in critical care is desired; however, two years of acute ward care nursing experience is a minimum requirement.
