As a Registered Nurse in our community team, you will forge meaningful connections with individuals and families, fostering well-being through skilled assessment, thoughtful care, and integrated working with Primary and Secondary care partners.
Some of your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Using nursing knowledge and skills to assess, plan, implement, monitor, and evaluate tangata whai ora/taiohi/whanau health needs.Providing dynamic and holistic nursing care to achieve the best health outcomes.Engaging and working alongside community support workers, tangata whai ora, and whanau to improve knowledge of illness, self-management, prevention of complications, and promote well-being.Championing equitable health access and outcomes for all whai ora.We welcome enquiries from passionate new graduate RNs who are aligned with our values and will contribute to all aspects of whanau-centred health and wellbeing.You will be supported in the first year of Practice by a Registered Nurse who will provide you with guidance and coaching, you will also be able to access Clinical Supervision. You will have the opportunity to develop skills that you can utilise in your practice such as Trauma Informed Care, Working with Distress and Risk, Mindfulness, Sensory Modulation, Goal Planning.Hours include: Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.00pm – with an after-hours/on-call component.
About You | Mou
You will be:
A NZ Registered Nurse with a current annual practicing certificate within mental health scope of practice.Have a demonstrated commitment to continuing personal and professional development within RN scope of practice.Have knowledge and is passionate about mental health nursing, theory, practice, legal boundaries, and ethical concerns.Closing date | Ra Katinga: 17 January 2025.
