The role reportsto the Team Coach and work with a team of dedicated support workers andclinical staff.
You'll work in collaboration with mental health teams fromacross clinical services to provide a safe space for our tangata whai ora.
The role is 32hrs per week, Wed – Sat PM shift 3:00PM –11:30PM based in Christchurch.
Responsibilitiesinclude: Working alongside the clinical teams to provide an acute alternative to hospital-based setting Support people to identify and meet their individual health and social care needs through exceptional clinical support Ongoing risk assessment of people experiencing a crisis situation, with high needs Develop clinically appropriate goal plans in partnership with tangata whai ora Liaise with other services as required Provide culturally competent care Mou |About You A current NZ Nursing registration Experience with comprehensive and/or psychiatric scope, and the ability to work within the field of mental health.
A current full New Zealand driver's license A current New Zealand first aid certificate or be prepared to obtain one Mental health experience preferred but not essential Knowledge of the NGO sector, and the Christchurch Health and Social Services systems A demonstrated ability and cultural competence in working with Maori, and understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi Candidates musthave the right to work in New Zealand with a registration that is recognised inNew Zealand.
