We are seeking to recruit an experienced full-time Registered Nurse to work at our Adult Residential Service in New Windsor, West Auckland. Working on park-like grounds with residential clients who are on a recovery journey from addiction challenges, you will be undertaking nursing assessments, delivering medical and health interventions, and providing advice to other team members on medication and physical health issues.
Our ideal candidate will have:At least two years post-registration nursing experience, preferably gained in an addictions and/or mental health care settingNursing registration and a current annual practicing certificateStrong people skills and an openness to working with clients from diverse backgroundsAn interest in tikanga Maori and Pacific customs and cultureAbility to work autonomously within a supportive multi-disciplinary teamWell-developed clinical skills in assessment, diagnostics, and treatment planningStrong computer and case noting/data entry skillsStrong organisational skills and reporting capabilitiesKnowledge and skills to promote healthy living and hygiene best practiceA full clean driver's licenceIn return, Odyssey can offer:A competitive remuneration package plus 22 days annual leave & 5 days study leave per annum, off-street parking and free meals/fruitA role working Monday to Friday, with no evening or weekend shiftsProfessional and career development opportunitiesA dynamic and supportive team who are passionate about what they doMore about us:Odyssey has supported thousands of New Zealanders whose lives are affected by alcohol, drug or other addiction challenges.
