Our Homebased Support Service is the largest service in our hauora, with over 400 Support Workers caring for over 700 whanau in their homes. Our point of difference is that we consider a whanau choice model of care, if our criteria is met. Our services are delivered through a kaupapa Maori lens, with the majority of our clients being kaumatua.
As a registered nurse, the primary function of this role is to provide clinical nursing expertise to the Homebased and ACC Support Services team and the clients we service. There will be a requirement to occasionally provide support to the Rehua Medical Team by taking on the opportunity to travel within the Mataatua rohe and beyond to support our whanau who live in those hard-to-reach areas.
So you can hit the ground running, we would hope you have most of the following skills:
Registered Nurse with a current practising certificate.
Experience working in a clinical environment.
Has a current Independent Authorised Vaccinator status.
Knowledge of infection control principles.
Practice cultural competency and cultural safety.
Knowledge and or willingness to learn Te Reo me ona tikanga.
