Korero mo te turanga - About the role
We are seeking applications from registered nurses to join our dynamic Hawera Hospital Team.
Hawera Hospital is an accredited level three rural hospital in South Taranaki. It is a one hour drive from New Plymouth and is situated 71.3 Kilometers from Taranaki Base Hospital; the main regional hospital of Te Whatu Ora Taranaki. Hawera hospital provides essential services to the people of South Taranaki, including 24-hour emergency care from a rural emergency department and medical and AT & R care from an inpatient ward.
These jobs are rostered with rotating shift patterns, and staff will be required to work at Hawera acute services.
Ideally candidates will have:
A passion for rural health
Recent acute emergency and medical experience
Recent nursing experience
Post Graduate studies or engagement in same
A strong focus on patient assessment
Adaptability and flexibility
Motivation and self-direction
Commitment to self-directed learning
Excellent interpersonal skills
Current annual practicing certificate
Motivation and willingness to learn
