Valerie Manor, a family run, 23 bed nursing and residential home based in Upper Beeding, Henfield, West Sussex, provides second-to-none care for our residents, offering a truly personal experience for everyone who lives with us.
As a nursing home rated "Outstanding" by CQC, we are seeking to recruit both full-time and part-time Night Health Care Assistants to join our committed and driven team and to uphold the same ethos and passion for care that we do.
The main duties include, but are not limited to:
To provide personal care to residents, including assisting with dressing/undressing, bathing, and using the toilet.
To help care for residents temporarily sick and needing minor dressings, bed nursing (under the supervision of a RN).
To help care for EOL residents.
Report the care given to residents using our in-house system.
To help engage residents in daily activities.
To set tables and trays, serve meals, and feed residents needing help.
To answer all bells, emergency bells, the front door, greet visitors, and answer the telephone if the RN is unavailable.
Salary: Excellent rates of pay dependent on experience.
Requirements:

Able to communicate both written and verbally.

A willingness to learn.
Desirable:
NVQ in Health and Social Care (or willing to do your NVQ with Melrose).
Previous care experience.
Knowledge in personal care.
Experience in working with older people.
Interest in staff training and development.
