About the roleWe have an exciting opportunity working in a unique part of the health sector, where although you are not working as part of a Te Whatu Ora (DHB's), you are still caring for people and making a huge difference to patient outcomes.
There is a lot more to being a nurse at NZBS other than just taking blood. Dealing with primarily well people gives a different perspective to a working day. The hours will generally be rostered duties Monday to Saturday, with some varying lengths of days so flexibility is required. Occasional statutory holiday duties may also be required.

This role will be covering for a current team member commencing parental leave in December 2024 for a period of 6 months.
Salary offered starting at $75,773 to $106,739 per annum depending on skills, registration, and experience.
About you and the roleAs our donors regularly go out of their way to give up their time to donate blood, great customer service is key to ensuring they have an amazing donation experience that encourages their continued support. To be successful in this role you'll be a great communicator with good written and verbal skills, vital for reassuring the donor every step of the way.
We welcome enquiries from RNs who will utilise their health assessment, critical thinking and reflective practice skills to contribute to all aspects of the collection of blood products and donor health education at our mobile and donor room collects. No phlebotomy experience needed! Let us train you!
