About the role The Emergency Department includes:
A triage area, a rapid assessment area, dedicated resuscitation areas, acute, sub-acute and paediatric cubicles along with ambulatory care spaces. Acute cares for adults and paediatrics including full patient resuscitation facilities, management of trauma, fractures, injuries and so much more. Develop your skills in this area of nursing including: a comprehensive orientation programme. On-going development in emergency nursing skills e.g.
Trauma Nursing Core Course, Triage Course, and Advanced Life Support. Minimum Requirements Current registration with the New Zealand Nursing Council and a current APC. Must already hold working rights as this role does not qualify for visa sponsorship. Demonstrated ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively with other professionals. Excellent time management, interpersonal and organisational skills. The ability to be adaptable, flexible and solution-focused. Previous experience in an acute setting would be an advantage. Competency with te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth. Experience in projects/initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principals and frameworks, and the application of Matauranga Maori and Kaupapa Maori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings. This role is covered by the terms and conditions of the expired NZNO CEA and the salary will be in accordance with the RN Pay Scale, between $75,773 and $106,739 p.a pro rata.
