About the role The Emergency Department includes the following: A triage area, a rapid assessment area, dedicated resuscitation areas, acute, sub-acute and paediatric cubicles along with ambulatory care spacesAcute cares for adults and paediatrics including full patient resuscitation facilities, management of trauma, fractures, injuries and so much moreDevelop your skills in this area of nursing including: on-going development in emergency nursing skills e.g.
Trauma Nursing Core Course, Triage Course, and Advanced Life SupportMinimum Requirements: Current registration with the New Zealand Nursing Council and a current APCMust already hold working rights as this role does not qualify for visa sponsorshipDemonstrated ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively with other professionalsExcellent time management, interpersonal and organisational skillsThe ability to be adaptable, flexible and solution focusedPrevious experience in an acute setting would be an advantageCompetency with te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growthExperience in projects/initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principals and frameworks, and the application of Matauranga Maori and Kaupapa Maori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settingsWorking for Health New Zealand Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora is 'the weaving of wellness'.
