Are you seeking a dynamic and challenging role in nursing? Join our dedicated team in the Emergency Department based at Tauranga hospital, where you will work alongside highly skilled professionals. We are looking for Registered Nurses who are passionate about emergency care and eager to develop their skills in this area.

Our department provides 24-hour emergency care to both adults and children, offering a diverse and fast-paced environment. You will have the opportunity to work with a supportive team, including a Clinical Nurse Manager, Nurse Practitioners, Clinical Nurse Specialists, Clinical Coaches, and experienced Registered Nurses.

In addition, you will receive assistance from our Health Care Assistants, Clerical staff, and medical team. We are offering a 12-month, fixed-term part-time position starting in December 2025, this is working 0.7 FTE (28 hours per week). We are seeking candidates with previous experience in acute care, although we offer a comprehensive orientation program for those who are new to this setting. Given the nature of our work, a calm demeanor, a good sense of humor, and a strong team-oriented mindset are essential qualities for success in this role.

Additional orientation days will be provided before transitioning to more acute care areas as needed. We also offer numerous in-house educational opportunities, including ALS, PALs, and NLS certifications.

The preferred candidates will have:

Emergency Department and/or acute care nursing experience.

Current Annual Practicing Certificate

A desire to make a difference to our community

A commitment to ongoing education to support excellence in emergency nursing.
